The PNC Park is home to the professional baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. It is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has a seating capacity of 38,747. The park also includes The Hall of Fame Club, restaurants, food courts, and much more. It hosts Major League Baseball as well as college baseball, and other entertainment events.
The PNC Park was inaugurated in 2001 with two exhibit games between the Pirates and the New York Mets, and the first official baseball game between the Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds.
Known as one of the best baseball stadiums in the country, the PNC Park is recorded spectacular baseball events such as the All-Star Game in 2006. It also showcased legendary individual baseball performances like the first hit at the park by Cincinnati Red's Sean Casey in 2001, the Rookie of the Year award to Jason Bay in 2004, the Gold Glove award to Nate McLouth in 2008, the first playoff game at the park between the Pirates and Cincinnati Reds in 2013, among many others.
