This print features the triumphant victors in a showdown of two college football powerhouses! To determine the winner of the 2007 NCAA Football national title, the BCS National Championship Game pitted the #2 LSU Tigers against the #1 Ohio State Buckeyes, played on Monday January 7th, 2008, in the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game started in Ohio State's favor early, with them going up 10-0 in the first quarter after a 65 yard touchdown run from Chris Wells. The momentum took a sharp turn in the 2nd quarter though. LSU blocked a Buckeye field goal attempt, then marched down the field for a touchdown. That opened the floodgates, and LSU went into halftime having scored 24 unanswered points! Ohio State was never able to recover from that 14 point deficit. The LSU Tigers defeated the Buckeyes 38-24, making them the first school to win two BCS Championships!
