The game was played on February 13, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the home stadium of the Rams. It was an excitingly close game with three lead changes throughout. Los Angeles led 13–10 at halftime, but the Bengals scored 10 straight points in the third quarter. Trailing 20–16 in the fourth, wide receiver Cooper Kupp converted a fourth down on the Rams' final drive and scored the game-winning touchdown by way of passes from Matthew Stafford. The Bengals were almost able to retake the lead, but an Aaron Donald play on Joe Burrow stopped their championship dreams. Cooper Kupp was named Super Bowl MVP.
