"The New Jersey Devils won the 1995 Stanley Cup after defeating the Detroit Red Wings. Claude Lemieux of the Devils was named the series MVP.

The teams met for the championship after the Devils defeated the Boston Bruins (4-1), the Pittsburgh Penguins (4-1), and the Philadelphia Flyers (4-2), and after the Red Wings defeated the Dallas Stars (4-1), the San Jose Sharks (4-0), and the Chicago Blackhawks (4-1).

Four scores were recorded in the 3rd period by Sergei Fedorov (DET) assisted by Doug Brown and Viacheslav Fetisov, Scott Niedermayer (NJD) assisted by Jim Dowd who then followed to score under the assistance of Shawn Chambers and Tommy Albelin, and Stephane Richer (NJD) assisted by Scott Niedermayer.

The third game recorded two scores in the 1st period by the Devil's Bruce Driver and Claude Lemieux. The 2nd period recorded two scores by the Devil's Neal Broten and Randy McKay. And the 3rd period recorded three scored by the Devil's Bobby Holik, and the Red Wing's Sergei Fedorov and Steve Yzerman.

The finale recorded scored by Neal Broten (NJD), Sergei Fedorov (DET), Paul Coffey (DET), and Shawn Chambers (NJD) in the 1st period; Neal Broten (NJD) in the 2nd period; and Sergei Brylin (NJD) and Shawn Chambers (NJD) in the 3rd period.
